(im)possible hermitism is an experimental video that explores the tensions and intersections between nature and technology through an audiovisual journey. Inspired by Henry David Thoreau's work Walden, or Life in the Woods, the video documents a journey across the United States, from California to Walden Pond, reflecting on the coexistence between the natural and technological worlds.

The project combines layers of video and sound from recorded and synthesized sources, exploring different relationships between image and audio. With footage captured during the trip and sounds ranging from natural to electronic elements, the work proposes a sensory experience that integrates expanded projection and experimental sound. The piece presents itself as a non-linear reflection on the search for balance between solitude in nature and the allure of contemporary technology.
